What will your 2009 business plan include?

Real estate agents finishing out 2008, should be carefully considering their plans for business in 2009.  Successful agents will tell you that having a written plan of action is one of the keys they attribute their sale success to. 

Do you have a plan?  What was it that worked in 2008 that you will be carrying over to 2009?  What was it that failed to work and needs to be replaced, eliminate or adjusted?  What activities do you plan to add to your 2009 business plan?  Does your 2009 business plan include:

  • Blogging and getting involved with social media?
  • Knocking on doors?
  • Holding open houses?
  • Passing out X number of business cards a day?
  • Building effective follow up systems?
  • Cutting or reducing unnecessary costs?
  • Signing up for additional training and education?

Examine what you did in 2008, look at the bottom line and how much you earned for your efforts and then build your 2009 business plan around those activities that were successful.  

Having a plan in place will help you get a jump on 2009!
