Real estate sales success comes to those who are prepared
As a new agent one of the first steps you should take on your road to success is taking the time to study the listing and sales contract and the various addendums you will be using during the course of your business.
It is very possible that the broker you have associated yourself with has training in place geared towards the new agent that will cover preparing the contracts. It would be wise on your part to take this training as soon as possible. Being able to explain the contracts in a confident professional manner will go a long way to easing the stress of your buyers and sellers you work with.
An exercise I would suggest in addition to working with your Broker or manager is to prepare a mock purchase and listing agreement on your own and then review the completed agreements with your manager. This “homework” exercise coupled with the review will provide you a very comprehensive and insightful look at the documents that you will use when working with both buyers and sellers.
