Successful closings don’t just happen. A successful real estate transaction that closes is due in large part to the efforts of a real estate professional handling all the details no matter how big or small.
Closings are where you get paid for your work, don’t leave your right to earn it up to someone else. Successful real estate agents understand they need to follow up on, stay involved with and make sure no contingency or time frame is missed or forgotten. They know the details that are often forgotten or missed which delay or stop closings include:
- Failure to meet time frames for inpections or financing
- Failure to order a survey
- Failed to review title policy for clouds or liens
- Failed to review HUD statement prior to closing with customer/client
- Failed to confirm buyer obtained home insurance
There are many other small details that can derail a closing. Don’t rely on others completely, take it upon yourself to make sure these details are handled or have been completed. Take control of your business and you will close more transaction.
